Book Review: The Bright Side of Going Dark

The Bright Side of Going Dark by Kelly Harms is such a great read! I absolutely devoured it. Topical but not preachy, with well developed characters and a well paced plot, this novel sucked me and I could not put it down.

The Bright Side of Going Dark Book Review

Mia Bell is a top influencer with a big secret. When she takes a break from her online life, programmer and coder extraordinaire Paige steps in. With high stakes and (justified) disdain for influencers, Paige decides to use Mia Bell’s absence to show the world an influencer’s life is filtered, after all.

These characters are likable and relatable, and struggle with how they perceive themselves and how the world sees them. Mia experiences what the real world is like again while Paige falls down the rabbit hole of internet celebrities, and the juxtaposition is an interesting one to watch.

I loved this book, and have thoroughly enjoyed everything this author has released so far! The Bright Side of Going Dark is out now, and is available on Kindle Unlimited!
