Non-School Learning

Non-School Learning

Our school district is closed until at least April 24 (the governor has requested the safer at home order be followed until the end of April, thus the ‘at least’). Due to the size of our school system and guidelines I can’t begin to understand, distance learning isn’t an option. I’m fairly neutral on this topic, because I don’t know what the heck distance learning would even look like for first grade.

Our district has provided loads of resources online. Possibly too many, because I don’t even know where to start. So instead of trying to teach my kids what they would’ve been covering in school, we’re doing a different kind of learning.

I wrote all about what we’re doing and why for Knoxville Moms. You can read the post here.

What’s your area school district doing amidst the safer at home life?
