Where the Forest Meets the Stars is an enchanting novel with a serious undertone. It holds both a mystery to solve and elements of suspense. This heart wrenching story follows ornithologist PhD student Jo as she recovers from her own tragedy, and is thrust into someone else’s. With intricate plotting, exceptionally well crafted characters, and a heart pounding plot, it’s insanely hard to put down. (So intense, in fact, that my dog came to check on me while I was reading the most climactic scene!)

Downside- it’s not exactly a Christmas book 😂 While the subject matter is heavy, the setting is gorgeously described and the tone is uplifting. It’s definitely worth the read…but maybe wait until January!
